Signing of Memorandum of Understanding Between the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater and the Arab-Japanese Membranes Company
As part of the activities of the International Water, Waste, and Infrastructure Exhibition & Conference (IWWI), Major General Engineer Assem Shokry, Vice Chairman of the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a representative of the Arab-Japanese Membranes Company. This agreement aims to enhance cooperation in the field of water desalination using the latest global technologies.
The MoU aligns with Egypt’s efforts to develop innovative solutions for water resource management. It leverages advanced Japanese membrane technologies for seawater desalination as a pilot step toward broader collaboration between the parties, contingent upon successful results.
This partnership is expected to advance the use of modern desalination technology in Egypt, addressing growing challenges related to water scarcity and increasing demand for water resources, particularly in water-stressed regions. The agreement reflects both parties’ commitment to supporting sustainable development through innovative water management solutions.
This initiative further reinforces Egypt’s position as a hub for regional and international collaboration in advanced technologies and resource management. It also presents opportunities to establish new partnerships with leading global companies in the water sector.
